Our Black Truffle Oil is available in 3.4 or 8.4 oz sizes.
Because the truffle’s natural flavor is destroyed when exposed to high heat, truffle oil shouldn’t be used for cooking. Like the higher grades of olive oil used to add more flavor to a dish before serving, it’s a finishing oil. Black truffle oil serves the purpose of enhancing recipes with the distinct and pleasurable taste and aroma of fresh truffles. The oil is stronger, earthier, and more resistant to heat than white truffle oil and is best in robust dishes. Consider incorporating into pates, mushroom ragout, vinaigrette, and dishes involving red meat and even truffles themselves. Truffle oil is commonly used to make truffle fries which feature french fries tossed in truffle oil, parmesan cheese, pepper, and sometimes other ingredients. Pasta, pizza and whipped dishes such as mashed potatoes or deviled eggs are also enhanced by black truffle infused olive oil.
